"I thought the future held a perfect place for us That togeher we would learn to be the best that we could be In my naivety I ran, I fell and lost my way Some how I always end up falling over me Then one day I woke to find the future had no place for me I wasn't wanted in a world that with my hands I helped to build ... Does anybody feel the way I do? Is there anybody out there? Are you hearing me? I believe in you, do you believe in me? Or am I alone in this hollow dream?"

I love being out of the loop and finding out things you had no idea were going on. Oh well... that just means I get to X people off our guest list... and yes, I'm going to be that bitter ice queen. See this face? Not pleased in the least. Congratulations...
On a not so bitter note... one of my students drew stick figure on my black board, drew an arrow through its head, put x's for eyes and labled it "Mr. Simmons". I'm glad I have students threatening my life. I need to get out of this job, I don't get paid enough to put up with this b.s.Current Mood: crushed

» CITRONICS!!!
Bear Trek was a bust this year. We'z poo... we so poo we can't even afford the "r"! LOL So, instead of going to Bear Trek, we did the next gayest thing... We went to a FASHION SHOW! My friend Joe had his senior fashion show this evening. His line: Citronics! Fashion forward thinking highlighted with citrusy (tangerine, lime and lemon) colors. A very consistent collection, very cohesive. So I say... Joe, you've made it work! Other than that, nothing has been interesting lately... I think I'm going to see my Mike soon when he comes to visit NH :D makes me very happy! OH! And Jeremy is having his kids art show on Monday! :D I helped him hang the pieces today. Youth Pride is this coming Sat, which is always a fun time! My kids are all sorts of excited for it!

No water pressure for a half hour, then water runs red with rust... Suffice-it to say there was no shower this morning... What a way to start a Monday morning the week after vacation. I feel icky.

I turned around one last time... blind without my glasses but still needing that one last glimpse. I stumbled backwards, one, two, three, stepping clumsily, eyes welling up and hoping he felt the same... hoping this wouldn't be the last time.

» Tales from the bed
So, I'm somewhat mobile now. I can get out of bed when propped up... though I might as well be a turtle on its back when I'm on mine, futilely flailing. I can ease down into chairs, but not the couch yet... I don't have the muscle strength in my abdomin or pain threshold to get myself off such a seducing sofa. I walk around the apartment relatively well, but slowly.
I was in a weird mood tonight. I needed to clean... I had to do cleaning... dishes, counters, the stove all clean. I was an invalid on a mission! Jeremy tried to talk me out of it, but I wasn't having it.
Ok, so I'm bored... ask me a question or two, anonymous or not, about anything and I will respond!

(attempted post 9/27/07) As some of you know, I'm going into the hospital tomorrow for surgery... nothing serious, nothing life threatening... just something that needs to be done. Hey, I mean, it's a 2 week vacation with the good drugs! lol
(actual post 9/29/07)(may be somewhat random and inconsistant because of meds) So ya, I had my surgery yesterday... good times good times. It was weird, all day long my head felt really stuffy, like I was driving up a mountain and my ears wouldn't pop kinda stuffy. So I remember going into the room for surgery at 8:40, and I remember the anistesiologist telling me the meds would hurt my wrist as they were putting it in (and boy did it ever! like fire in my wrist) and the next thing I remember it was 10:30 and I was waking up inthe recovery room... my nose extremely itchy. I thought it was so bizzare, I asked the nusre about it and she was like, "No, it's very common for your nose to be itchy after the anistesia." They gave me some demoral (gooooood goood stuff) and got dressed ( I was sportin my irish clover pj pants). I was released at 1:30 ish I believe, Jeremy, my darling, drove me home and my mom followed... we picked up my meds (perkaset :-D ) and it took me a good 15 min to a half hour to get into my apartment... ya, that was s slow, painful process... I'm definitely going to give Jeremy a work out, picking me up, holding onto him, etc :-p he's already complained about feeling sore after yesterday lol. Now I'm propped up in bed, just had some yummy eggs and bacon for breakfast and listening to Aphex Twin... good chill music. I want to thank all you guys who have sent me txts and emails and stuff wishing me the best for this surgery. You guys rock my socks off! (though you can't rock my hospitalgrip socks off 'cause they're wicked cool!) And I want to especially thank Jeremy, my Mom, Rich and Mike... you all are amazing in so many ways, I don't know what I would do without you! I'm startin to doze off now... Hope all is good with everyone!

The other night, the three of us were watching "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" because there was really nothing else on. Whatever. So while the commercials were running, one in particular caught my eye and excited me like nothing else! http://www.scifi.com/tinman/tinman_press_dreyfuss.pdf OMG OMG OMG!!! I'm a big fan of adaptations of classics, when done right. This has potential to be AMAZING!!! The Scifi Channel usually produces the best mini-series' I've ever seen, so I'm preparing to be wow-ed. http://video.scifi.com/player/?id=128482 Just check it out!

» ACK! I'm On The Fence!
Ok, so the idea has popped into my head (via my B.F. extraordinaire) that I should run for this year's title of Mr. Cub New England next weekend at the Alley. The title does have some responsibilities attached to it (attending next years event, doing a charity event, doing some N.E. Pride marches and other bear/cub events in N.E., etc...) but they all sound relatively fun to do. But I'm torn...
Should I enter the contest? It's kinda like a big bear beauty pageant, I guess. In the past I've been relatively opposed to such things. I mean, I've always been a big proponent of the phrase, "The only person's opinion that really matters is your own." By winning (or losing) you're having someone judge you and your character... or just how attractive you are.
On the other hand, I want to try something new and different. I kinda like the idea of competition and to see how hot I am. :-P (does that sound really vain?)
What should I do?
In other news, things have been up and down lately, up and down... I'll post more on that later 'cause it's 3:30 and I'm gonna go for a walk to tire myself out.
